1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the "Protecting Local Control of Data Centers Act".

2. No preemption of State or local land-use, zoning, siting, or permitting authority for data centers

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the head of a Federal agency may not override, bypass, or displace State or local land-use, zoning, siting, or permitting authority for data centers located on non-Federal land, or condition the receipt of Federal funds for such data centers on a State or local government relinquishing or limiting such authority.
